What to Expect
An annual pet exam consists of several components to help ensure your buddy is in top physical condition:
- Meet and Greet - We begin our exam by greeting our pet owners and their pets. We will ask a few basic questions while making your pet comfortable with us.
- Taking Measurements - The next part of the exam may consist of taking measurements like weight, temperature, and more.
- Physical Exam – The next is the core of the exam where your pet will be given an ear to tail exam to check for any abnormalities. We may look at the ears, eyes, teeth, listen to the heart and lungs, and palpate the organs. A member of our team may also test for Heartworm, intestinal parasites, and check for fleas. The skin and coat may also be checked for allergies and other conditions. Should any irregularities be found during the exam, we will discuss the proper course of treatment with you.
